Job summary

Helms Home Care in Yorktown, IN is seeking a PRN RN infusion therapist to provide in-home infusion services. You will perform catheter access, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate patients on self-care during visits.

Requirements include an active RN license and at least 1 year of infusion therapy experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to schedule two patient visits per week. Competitive pay and mileage reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and infusion therapy experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to printer/scanner/fax machine.
• Ability to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.
• Expect to perform 2 visits per week.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, ports), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG).
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
