Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy visits in the Marion, OH area under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role offers independence and one-on-one patient care with approximately 10–15 visits per week.

You will assist with exercises, transfers, and activities of daily living, while documenting patient progress and maintaining plans of care. Licensed PTA, CPR/BLS, and driving credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state where the position is offered (Ohio).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid state-issued Driver's License and current Auto Insurance.
• Willingness to travel to patient homes throughout the Marion, OH service area.
• Ability to work independently while following the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care.
• Previous home health or clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy visits based on each patient's individualized plan of care under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Help patients improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall functional independence.
• Observe, document, and report patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, safety techniques, and ways to participate in the rehabilitation process.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation following established care plans and agency guidelines.
