Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care is seeking a clerical support specialist to join Mizzou Therapy Services on a PRN basis, with a minimum of 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday days. No weekends or holidays.

You will greet patients, assist with check-in/out, coordinate with staff, and maintain waiting areas while handling calls and routing them appropriately. A high school diploma and friendly, patient-centered service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of frontline customer service and guest relations experience.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, families and staff to resolve problems during visits.
• Greet, escort, answer phones, and direct calls to appropriate areas.
• Manage waiting room appearance and office cleanliness.
• Handle patient demographics, insurance verification, and scheduling tasks.
• Utilize office systems and electronic health records for patient flow and documentation.
