Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with emergency department experience to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. The role requires active Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and PALS/ENPC or equivalent certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. This PRN position supports ED operations and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must have Florida RN license and be eligible to practice in Florida.
• Requires current BLS; ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills; PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in ED.
• Collaborate with providers and care team to implement care plans.
• Assess pain, document care in medical records, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, plans, and medications.
• Support patient education on post-discharge self-management.
