Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I for PRN, as-needed shifts in the Pineville area. The role involves operating CT scanners, IV contrast administration, and close collaboration with Radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities include patient identification, history collection, image acquisition, and documentation in the EMR. Candidates must have ARRT Radiology or NMTCB certification and BLS, with flexibility for shift rotations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire; BLS.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety and radiation protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and associated equipment per departmental protocols.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Prepare patients and document history, ensure orders are accurate with Radiologist review.
• Perform CT exams from start to finish and obtain high-quality images.
• Administer IV contrast per protocols and document type and amount as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety for patient and staff during procedures.
