Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for South Florida facilities on a PRN basis. The role focuses on patient safety, high-quality CT imaging, and effective communication with radiologists. You may train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators as needed.

Requirements include ARRT CT registration (or NMTCB in some states), a state license, CPR, and a valid driver's license, plus strong customer service and multitasking abilities. Vaccination and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT-registered CT technologist. NMTCB eligibility acceptable where state allows.
• State license; Medical Imaging licensure if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality CT studies.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
• Maintain accurate imaging records and safety protocols.
