Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland CT is seeking a PRN Radiology CT Technologist to support CT exams under radiologist supervision. The role involves verifying orders, preparing patients, performing CT scans, and ensuring radiation safety and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical history, documenting requisitions, operating CT equipment, and coordinating with the radiology team to deliver high-quality imaging results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required.
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist when discrepancies.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; prepares patients and documents on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history; reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent history and records on requisitions.
• Assists CT examination from start to finish, including image quality evaluation and communication with Radiologist.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocol; records contrast type and amount when requested.
• Adheres to radiation safety standards and maintains equipment and cleanliness; reports malfunctions.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends; respects attendance policies.
• Operates radiology computer system and documents contrast administration in MAR.
• Assists anesthesia or other personnel during CT procedures as needed.

Education

Two-year AMA Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; CT registry within one year of hire
