Qualifications

Role Overview

The CT Technologist delivers safe, high-quality imaging and supportive patient care at a designated health location. They work independently to operate imaging equipment, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining safety standards and minimizing radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per departmental protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality.


• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment, report issues promptly.


• Gather clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.


• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, providing age-appropriate care.


• Administer contrast via venipuncture, position patients, and apply shielding techniques.


• Review images for quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document accurately in RIS/PACS systems.


• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with safety protocols.


• Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and maintain compliance with regulations.
