Job summary

JOURDANTON facility is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per assessment and care plan under supervision. You will identify residents, assist with feeding, hygiene, mobility, and daily living tasks while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include documenting care, reporting changes to supervisors, ensuring safety, and following facility policies. Must be licensed CNA with CPR preferred; 10th grade education minimum. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, an 10th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of the state.
• CPR Preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Use wristband or photo card to identify residents before administering treatments and meals.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts in an informative, descriptive manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, including protected health information.
• Assist residents with daily functions (dental and mouth care, bath functions, dressing and undressing).
• Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents as needed.
• Observe and report pressure areas and skin breakdowns; prevent decubitus ulcers.
• Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids and hazardous materials.
• Prepare residents for medical tests and examinations; assist in preparing for physical exams.
• Provide a comfortable, warm, and safe environment; greet residents and escort to rooms.
