Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Paramount Community Living and Rehab, a leading skilled nursing facility committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. The CMA will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all individuals under our care.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents following facility protocols and physician orders. Properly document medication administration and report discrepancies to the supervising nurse.
  2. Resident Monitoring: Observe and document changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and adverse reactions. Communicate concerns to nursing staff and assist with follow-up.
  3. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean medication storage area, follow infection control procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  4. Resident Support: Provide compassionate assistance, address needs, and foster a supportive environment.
  5. Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and communicate with residents' families about medication and health concerns.
  6. Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately, including medication records and incident reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training is a plus.
  • Experience: Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Certifications: Current CMA certification as per Kansas regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work with a diverse team and residents.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer residents, stamina for physical tasks.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, organizational skills, proficiency with EHR systems.
