A Day in the Life of a PRN Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

As a CMA, you play a vital role in our community. You pass medications as prescribed by physicians and provide direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following our policies and procedures.

You observe and report any changes in residents' condition, attitude, or behavior, maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations. Your warm and friendly demeanor helps you provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues. Your dedication makes a difference in residents' lives, making you perfect for this role. This position requires working one summer holiday, one winter holiday, and at least one shift per month to maintain PRN status.

Qualifications for Certified Medication Aides (CMAs)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Desire to work with the elderly

Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required. Are you trustworthy, respectful, dependable, professional, and a team player? Do you enjoy serving and caring for seniors? Can you establish rapport and communicate effectively? If yes, you might be perfect for this role!

Work Schedule

This healthcare position involves 12-hour shifts. We are seeking a full-time night med aide to work from 6 PM to 6 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
