Certified Medication Aide (All Shifts) PRN

The Certified Medication Aide dispenses medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assists residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, toileting, feeding, mobility, and maintaining their environment, such as laundry and housekeeping. The role requires sensitivity to residents' needs and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Dispenses medications according to established procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Assists residents with personal care functions as needed
  • Supports residents during mealtimes and monitors their eating habits
  • Helps residents participate in daily activities
  • Cleans and organizes residents' rooms and assists with laundry
  • Measures and records vital signs, reports any changes in condition
  • Completes required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Communicates effectively with residents and families regarding care
  • Attends staff meetings, trainings, and educational sessions as required
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed under stress
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED with additional training for certification
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
  • Registered Medication Aide certification in this state
  • Preferred: at least one year of experience in an assisted living setting
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
