Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. is required.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Must be a certified immunizing pharmacist.

Aufgaben

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Provides patient education and counseling to patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, handling, and administration.
• Designs, monitors and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on literature; implements recommendations.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Participates in medical emergencies when applicable and supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Mentors and precepts pharmacy students, residents, and staff; oversees work of pharmacy support team to ensure safety and efficiency.
