Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time, PRN Pharmacist for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Retail Pharmacy at Greensboro Medical Plaza. The role involves providing pharmaceutical care, counseling patients, and ensuring safe medication use across multiple sites with travel between sites.

Shift times are variable, typically starting between 7am and 11am, Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation. Licensure in NC and immunizing certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. or a B.S. in Pharmacy.
• Current North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing.
• Certified immunizing pharmacist.
• One to two years retail experience preferred.
• Accredited outpatient or ambulatory pharmacy residency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including evaluating literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and medication administration.
• Designs, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions.
• Participates in management of medical emergencies and supports medication safety and quality improvement.
• Precepts pharmacy students, residents, and healthcare learners as assigned.
• Directs and checks the accuracy of the work of pharmacy support staff to ensure safe workflows.
