Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical care, evaluate literature, and design medication therapy regimens.
• Provide patient and caregiver counseling on therapy, adverse effects, and proper medication use.
• Design and monitor patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on biomedical literature and regulatory policies.
• Review medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
• Participate in medical emergencies when applicable.
• Participate in medication safety and quality improvement activities.
