Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Retail Pharmacy. The role is part-time with a weekend rotation and travel between pharmacy sites. Shifts start between 7am and 11am, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, reviewing orders, ensuring safe medication use, and participating in emergencies and safety initiatives. NC license and immunizing certification are required.

Qualifications

Pharmacist degree required (B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.).
Current NC State Board of Pharmacy license in good standing.
Certified immunizing pharmacist required.

Responsibilities

Oversees pharmaceutical care and designs medication therapies based on literature.
Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy and safety.
Interprets medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
Participates in medical emergencies and medication safety activities.
Precepts pharmacy students and mentors staff as assigned.
Manages formulary adherence and medication-use processes with the team.
