Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Specialist for a PRN position to support individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. The role focuses on helping people pursue personal goals and participate in their communities while safeguarding rights and facilitating advocacy.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, supporting daily living activities, documenting progress, and coordinating transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Drivers License (Valid) - USA
• Experience with mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorder populations is not required

Responsibilities

• Assess each person receiving services for their hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports that facilitate achievement.
• Assist people receiving services in participating fully in their community consistent with the person’s interests.
• Ensure that the rights of each person receiving services are protected and promoted at all times, and help develop advocacy skills.
• Provide support as needed to meet the emotional, physical, and social needs of each person.
• Facilitate person-centered, effective relationships promoting self-determination.
• Provide input into assessment and planning processes and development of the individual’s plan.
• Implement the plan fully and document as required.
• Complete required documentation including progress notes, goal completion, incidents, timesheets.
• Assist with day-to-day home operations like housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, shopping, and maintenance.
• Provide transportation to persons served as required.
