Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee paraprofessionals and provide direct nursing care within the Behavioral Health Division. The RN will carry out treatment and supportive care as directed by leadership, aligning with program design and best practices.

The role requires crisis management experience, patient assessment, medication administration, and active participation in treatment planning. PRN as needed; travel may be required as part of this position.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required and RN licensure in good standing.
• Experience in crisis management settings with children/youth/adolescents preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis planning, assessment, and treatment collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee paraprofessionals providing services and deliver direct nursing care.
• Assess admission suitability, health and mental status, history, medications, and response to treatment.
• Educate individuals about mental illness and substance use, participate in treatment and discharge planning.
• Monitor health and safety, arrange higher level of care if needed.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, follow detox protocols and document outcomes.
• Attend meetings, maintain required certifications, and comply with policies and regulations.
• Assist in crisis situations and ensure physician orders are followed.
• Travel or driving may be required.
