Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX seeks an Inpatient Therapist to join our ADULT unit on a PRN basis. The clinician will provide evidence-based psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and family counseling in an inpatient setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Social Work or related field, active licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMSW/LAMFT), and 1–3 years’ psychiatric care experience. Responsibilities include assessments, individual/group/family therapy, discharge planning, and HIPAA-compliant

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in psychiatric healthcare.
• State licensure: LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.
• CPR and CPI training completed prior to starting.
• Ability to pass a competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Manage crisis situations and ensure patient safety.
• Coordinate care, case management, and discharge planning with HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Engage in clinical research activities when applicable.
