Job summary

EY Private Tax is seeking a Manager to lead tailored tax advice and compliance for high‑net‑worth clients and private business owners. You will oversee tax planning, wealth transfer, and governance strategies across cross‑border matters while supervising a team of tax professionals.

You will engage with clients to build long‑term relationships, manage risk, and deliver high‑quality work in a hybrid environment. A CPA or Bar and significant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax, business, or financial planning experience.
• CPA certification or Bar membership.
• Typically 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in professional services or professional tax organization.
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation.
• Experience with flow through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs).
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems.
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work in a balanced hybrid environment.
• Proven ability to guide and supervise others on complex technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tailored tax advice and compliance solutions for complex family/business structures.
• Support wealth transfer, succession planning and governance strategies.
• Navigate multi‑jurisdictional tax matters for clients and families.
• Coach and develop a team of tax professionals and review work for quality.
• Identify and implement improvements to services and processes.
• Develop solutions to complex tax issues and communicate to clients.
