Job summary

EY Private Tax is seeking a Manager to lead personal and private tax advisory services for business owners and high-net-worth families in a dynamic, hybrid U.S. environment. You will guide complex planning, governance, and wealth-transfer strategies while supervising a skilled team across multi‑jurisdictional matters.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop client relationships, and drive high-quality tax solutions, risk management, and growth initiatives in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant tax or financial planning experience.
• CPA certification or Bar membership is required.
• Typically 5–6 years of relevant experience in tax or professional services.
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation.
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of tailored tax advice and compliance solutions for complex family and business structures.
• Support clients in wealth transfer, succession planning, and governance strategies.
• Navigate multi-jurisdictional and cross-border tax matters for private clients and their families.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes; influence policy and procedures.
• Communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and clients clearly.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored service.
