Job summary

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking Private Swim Instructors to teach swimming lessons in alignment with YMCA guidelines. Instructors will prepare lesson plans, track progress, and communicate with students and parents about schedules and programs.

We offer a +10% bilingual differential for staff fluent in Spanish and English, and benefits including free family membership and retirement options. Certification in CPR and First Aid is encouraged; 16+ years old; team-oriented and safety-minded.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Bilingual differential for fluent Spanish and English.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid encouraged or provided during employment.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons per YMCA guidelines.
• Prepare lesson plans and track student progress.
• Maintain records (attendance, progress reports).

Overview:The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for Private Swim Instructors at the YMCA.We offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.Responsibilities:Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines,Prepare lesson plans accordingly.Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents.Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs.Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.Completes related reports as necessary.Organizes and puts away needed class equipment.Reports damaged equipment.Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Benefits:(10+ hours/week) Free Family Membership(10+ hours/week) Program discountsGenerous retirement benefits - 12% after eligibility is metEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Sick TimeChildcare benefits of more than $5000 are considered taxable income and will be processed accordingly.
