Job summary

Northwest Respiratory Services in Eagan, MN is seeking a Private Pay Collections Specialist to manage patient accounts and collections across aging buckets. This on-site role handles AR for private-pay customers using Brightree and collaborates with clinical and billing teams.

You will contact patients or families, resolve billing discrepancies, and support departmental goals with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of collections experience in medical or DME/HME.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology.
• Experience in managing aging receivables and patient communications.
• Proficient with Brightree software.

Responsibilities

• Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily.
• Manage AR of private pay accounts across all aging buckets (current, 30/60/90+ days).
• Make collection calls to patients and/or their families within 24 hours.
• Identify correct responsible party, insurance and correct invoices.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies; meet goals.
