Job summary

Northwest Respiratory Services in Eagan, MN, is seeking an experienced Private Pay Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable and conduct collections for private pay accounts. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of collections experience in a medical setting and strong knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.

Northwest Respiratory Services (NRS), a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies, is looking for an experienced Private Pay Collections Specialist for our main office located in Eagan, MN.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily
• Manage AR of private pay accounts across all aging buckets (current, 30/60/90+ days)
• Within 24 hours (or otherwise timely manner):
• Make collection calls to patients and/or their families
• Respond to collection calls from patients and/or their families
• Identify correct responsible party, insurance and make corrects to invoices
• Work aged receivables
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
• Meet individual and department goals
• Utilize Brightree software

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of collections experience, preferably in DME/HME or medical
• Well versed in medical insurance and terminology
• Work individual feedback sessions, staff meetings and annual training and/or competency tests
• Self-directed and ability to work independently
