Job summary

Northwest Respiratory Services in Eagan, MN is seeking a Medical Insurance Quality Assurance Specialist to support accurate insurance verifications and billing for patients across the Midwest and Northern Rockies.

You will verify benefits, prior authorizations, and required documentation, navigate payer portals and IVR systems, and ensure documentation validity to bill third-party payers. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Well versed in Medical insurance/terminology/billing.
• Experience with HME is a plus.
• Great communication skills: written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as a team to meet goals.
• Participate in training and competency tests.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and work time sensitive in-coming insurance verifications based on priority level.
• Verify insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and required medical documentation for all applicable payers; problem solve unusual insurances.
• Navigate insurance portals, IVR systems, etc.
• Review documentation for validity to bill third-party payers; may include prescriptions, progress notes, oxygen saturation/sleep study results, etc.
• Collect documents from multiple NW Respiratory branches; maintain high data-entry accuracy.

Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a Medical Insurance Quality Assurance Specialist with experience and knowledge of many medical insurance payers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and work time sensitive in-coming insurance verifications based on priority level.Verify insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and required medical documentation for all applicable payers, able to problem solve any odd ball/uncommon insurances.Ability to navigate insurance portals, IVR systems, etc.Review documentation for validity to bill third-party payers.
