Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking a Private Fleet Dispatcher to optimize private fleet operations. You will plan loads and routes in Descartes TMS, ensure low landed cost, and support drivers and DC operations to maintain high service levels.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, analytics, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations and experience with transportation planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation planning and fleet operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations is a plus.
• Experience with TMS/ERP systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute systems solutions to ensure high levels of customer service at the lowest landed cost.
• Plan efficient and service-centric Private Fleet loads and routes in Descartes TMS.
• Maximize trailer utilization and balance Driver Hours of Service with plans.
• Manage orders within Descartes TMS and Fulfillment planning.
• Maintain TMS configurations and provide gap analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate route/load handoffs to DC Operations and support drivers in service.
• Ensure equipment readiness and on-time delivery; adapt to unplanned issues.
