Job summary

UFP Berlin, LLC seeks a Dispatcher to help schedule trucks and drivers, ensuring DOT compliance and accurate logs. You will coordinate with sales and production, set up loads with carriers, and manage delivery times to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include negotiating carrier rates, auditing freight bills, resolving transportation issues, and maintaining proper paperwork in line with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 to 4 years of dispatch/logistics experience; 5 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic lumber math knowledge and species understanding.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outbound loads and drivers with sales and production.
• Set up loads for shipping with carriers and verify orders and delivery times.
• Negotiate rates and contracts for transportation services and audit freight bills.
• Ensure DOT regulatory compliance and proper paperwork.
• Prepare reports and resolve transportation issues with customers and suppliers.
