Job summary

University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, TX seeks a Private Event Director/Asst. F&B Director to lead catering sales, private functions and banquet service.

You will work with Chef, AGM, Membership Director and Clubhouse Managers to design profitable menus, manage staff and ensure member and guest satisfaction. The role requires 2+ years in F&B with banquet/catering sales, budgeting experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of food and beverage experience including banquet and catering sales.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
• College degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
• Experience developing and managing departmental catering budgets.

Responsibilities

• Work with Chef, AGM, Membership Director and Clubhouse Managers to set profitable catering menus.
• Lead banquet staff recruitment, scheduling and training.
• Monitor guest satisfaction for private events.
• Plan and implement member events with F&B team.
• Develop prospect inventory and close sales with contracts and deposits.
• Proficiency in Jonas and JAM catering systems.
