Job summary

East Palestine Elementary School is seeking a Private Duty Pediatric Nurse (LPN or RN) to care for a 13-year-old with a g-tube in Edgewater, MD. Work 4P-9P weekdays and weekend shifts in the client’s home, providing compassionate, independent care in a home health setting.

We offer training in G-tube, trach, and ventilator areas as needed, with benefits including weekly pay, and ongoing educational training. Prior pediatric/home health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active MD or Multistate compact nursing license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with pediatric home health is a plus; training available.
• Willing to train for G-tube/Trach/ventilation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care in the client's home.
• Conduct nursing assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments per Plan of Care.
• Document notes clearly in patient records.

The following shift(s) are available for this case:

Evenings during the week: 4P-9P

Weekend day/evening shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• Working one-on-one in the client's home
• Complete nursing assessment
• Administer medication & and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care
• Document nursing notes in a clear and concise manner

Job Requirements:

• Active/unrestricted nursing license in the State of Maryland or Multistate compact license - Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Confidence to work independently
• Basic knowledge of G-tube/Trach care is preferred; however, willing to train qualified and interested candidates.
• Vent experience preferred (willing to train qualified candidates)
• Pediatric experience a plus

Benefits/Salary Information:

• Pay Range: $26-42 per hour. Pay rates are determined by licensure, skills, experience, and varies per case.
• Employees will receive time and a half pay for working beyond 40 hours in a week.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment
