Job summary

East Palestine Elementary School is seeking a Private Duty Nurse to support a 1-year-old client with a g-tube in Middle River, MD. Nurses will provide in-home care and work under a Joint Commission Accredited agency.

Shifts include 10-hour day shifts (three days/week) and 8-hour night shifts (seven days/week). Training in G-tube/Trach care and ventilator support is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Active/unrestricted nursing license in Maryland or Multistate compact.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Confidence to work independently.
• G-tube/Trach care knowledge preferred; willing to train qualified candidates.
• Vent experience preferred; can be trained.
• Pediatric experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Working one-on-one in the client’s home.
• Complete nursing assessment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.

Private Duty Nurse for a 1 year old, with g-tube in Middle River, MD.

Shift(s) available for this case:

10-hour day shifts, three days per week

8 hour night shifts, seven days per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Working one-on-one in the client's home
• Complete nursing assessment
• Administer medication & and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care
• Document nursing notes in a clear and concise manner

Job Requirements:

• Active/unrestricted nursing license in the State of Maryland or Multistate compact license - Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Valid CPR/BLS certificationConfidence to work independently
• Basic knowledge of G-tube/Trach care is preferred; however, willing to train qualified and interested candidates.
• Vent experience preferred (willing to train qualified candidates)
• Pediatric experience a plus

Benefits/Salary Information:

• Pay Range: $26-42 per hour. Pay rates are determined by licensure, skills, experience, and varies per case.
• Employees will receive time and a half pay for working beyond 40 hours in a week.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment
