Job summary

The Carolina Club, operated by Oak View Group, seeks a Membership Sales Director to drive growth through proactive outreach, tours, and partnerships in Chapel Hill and the Triangle.

You will own the sales process, exceed membership goals, build leads, and collaborate with marketing, events, and operations to create compelling prospect experiences. This on-site role offers salary in the $55k-$60k range plus commissions, benefits, and room to reposition the club for today’s members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in membership sales or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to generate leads and develop new business.
• Strong networking, relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with executives, alumni, and community leaders.
• Strong organizational skills with large pipeline management.
• Goal-oriented with accountability to targets.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce preferred.
• Knowledge of Chapel Hill, UNC, and Triangle landscape is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the membership sales process from prospecting to enrollment.
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual membership goals and fees.
• Develop proactive prospecting strategies to generate qualified leads.
• Build targeted prospect lists across local professionals, alumni, and organizations.
• Conduct engaging club tours connecting benefits to prospects' needs.
• Maintain follow-up through calls, emails, texts, and events.
• Identify opportunities to re-engage former prospects and warm audiences.
• Develop referral strategies with current members and partners.
