Job summary

BDO USA, a Private Client Services practice, seeks a Tax Experienced Senior to provide tax compliance and consulting services to high net‑worth clients. You will lead engagements, supervise staff, and collaborate with clients and their advisors in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred), 3+ years of tax experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency with Office and tax software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, required; CPA certification, preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tax engagements and identify client tax planning opportunities.
• Work directly with clients and their advisors to gather information for tax returns.
• Understand complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S‑Corp, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Review basic individual and trust tax returns and provide feedback to staff.
• Analyze tax notices and prepare draft responses.
• Identify technical issues, conduct advanced tax research, and develop recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize tasks.
• Assist with PCS/firm contributions including billing, recruiting, attendance and training.
• Build relationships with other professionals inside and outside the firm.
