Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, seeks an Associate in Private Client Services – Family Office. The role focuses on family office accounting, tax compliance support, and delivering personalized solutions to high-net-worth clients.

You will manage general ledger postings, bank reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting, while coordinating with family and third-party professionals. Strong integrity and client-facing communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Masters in Accounting a plus.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, Private Client Service/Family Office experience, a plus
• CPA (or in the process of pursuing)
• High level of integrity and respect for the confidential nature of the information our Private Client Services Group is privy to
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely

Responsibilities

• Record and memorialize transactions; act as conduit for the family and third parties.
• Manage full accounting processes: posting to G/L, month-end close, and financial reports.
• Manage and reconcile bank accounts; assist in monthly/quarterly financial reports.
• Assist in preparation of annual tax package and supporting documents.
• Interact with high-net-worth clients and handle special projects as needed
