Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global advisory and consulting firm, is seeking an Associate for Private Client Services in the Family Office group based in Miami/West Palm Beach, FL.

You will handle accounting and administrative services for high-net-worth clients, including general ledger activities, monthly closes, and preparation of financial reports, while coordinating with family members and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Masters in Accounting a plus.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Private Client Service/Family Office.
• CPA (or in the process of pursuing).
• High level of integrity and respect for the confidential nature of the information our Private Client Services Group is privy to.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Record and memorialize transactions; act as conduit for the family and other third-party professionals for the family.
• Provide accounting and administrative services including posting to G/L, monthly close, and financial reports.
• Manage bookkeeping functions for specific families: accounts payables, invoices, and payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and assist in monthly/quarterly financial reports preparation.
• Assist in annual tax package and supporting documents preparation.
• Prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Establish and coordinate accounting procedures and controls.
• Interact with high-net-worth clients and coordinate with team members.
