Job summary

Associated Bank’s Wealth Management team seeks a Private Bank Portfolio Manager II to oversee a portfolio of complex private banking, commercial, and CRE relationships. You will help ensure sound credit quality, support client retention and growth, and deliver comprehensive financial solutions that meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of private banking or commercial banking experience with credit knowledge.
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive, if applicable.
• Preferred: 4+ years of private banking or commercial banking experience with credit knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of private banking, commercial, and CRE relationships to ensure sound credit quality and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and repayment sources to evaluate loan requests and structure credit appropriately.
• Prepare credit presentations and underwriting recommendations for new and existing borrowing relationships.
• Support client opportunities by developing financial analyses, profitability assessments, and lending recommendations.
• Oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring, including annual reviews, risk ratings, renewals, and covenant compliance.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, credit teams, and business partners to address portfolio needs and retain clients.
• Track key portfolio metrics such as loan maturities, documentation exceptions, and past due accounts.
