Job summary

Privacy is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team behind Privacy.com through its next growth phase. You will lead a nimble team of engineers who own the full product scope, with the stack primarily NodeJS and DocumentDB on AWS ECS Fargate.

This is a player-coach role, spending roughly a third of your time coding while growing the team and driving high-impact work. The annual US salary range is $169,000 - $265,000 plus equity, remote but US-based, visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and growing engineers.
• Strong technical judgment and system design skills.
• Ability to code, review designs, and unblock the team.
• Experience shipping and operating production services.
• Leadership of multi-month projects balancing long-term investment and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, owning performance, development, and overall team health.
• Stay hands-on, coding ~one third of the time, reviewing designs, and unblocking the team.
• Ensure high reliability and correctness across the Privacy.com product, including card processing.
• Own multi-month initiatives from planning to launch with architectural direction.
