Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to design and implement scalable privacy and security solutions that protect sensitive information while enabling business innovation. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, data, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design principles and strengthen regulatory compliance.

You will guide data protection strategy, drive enterprise data governance, and lead cross‑functional teams to enhance the organization’s privacy

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines with GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA experience.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, DLP, etc.).
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Python/Java/Go or similar.
• 5+ years cloud and DevSecOps, including CI/CD, IaC, privacy threat modeling, and security automation.
• 3+ years leading enterprise privacy/data protection initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and continuous improvement of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) like encryption, tokenization, and data classification.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity to embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, analytics, and adoption of privacy technologies across the organization.
