Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance our enterprise data protection capabilities. This role partners with cybersecurity, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design and help protect patient and colleague data while enabling business innovation.

You will design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies, conduct risk assessments, and drive governance, automation, and metrics to strengthen the privacy posture across structured and unstructured data.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in privacy engineering, security engineering, data protection, or related fields with regulatory experience.
• 5+ years designing enterprise data protection including encryption, tokenization, DLP.
• 5+ years programming in Python/Java/Go or similar.
• 5+ years cloud/DevSecOps with CI/CD, IaC, privacy threat modeling, and security automation.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy initiatives with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and delivery of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design and deploy PETs including encryption, tokenization, anonymization, and DLP.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to embed privacy-by-design.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, impact assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, and adoption of privacy technologies across the organization.
