Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support patient access to medications. You will work with insurers and clinician offices to obtain prior authorizations, assist patients with financial aid, and navigate dispensing systems to adjudicate claims and process refills.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, state registration, and willingness to obtain national certification if needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1+ years as a Pharmacy Technician
• Licensure: state registration or license within 6–9 months as applicable
• National certification (PTCB or NHA) preferred or required within 9 months

Responsibilities

• Facilitate medication approvals with insurers and clinicians
• Adjudicate claims and input data in dispensing systems
• Document patient concerns and financial assistance needs
• Assist patients with managing insurance claims and copays
• Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure quality patient care
