Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Digital Publishing and Printing Services (DPPS) is seeking a customer service representative to join our on-site print facility in Madison. You will coordinate production schedules and answer inquiries, helping campus and beyond with printing needs.

Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, with benefits including generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave; and opportunities to work in a state-wide premier in-house print operation.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in customer service.
• Professional experience in the printing industry.
• Broad understanding of digital printing and print bindery functions.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedules and track print job progress.
• Serve as initial contact for information about printing services.
• Answer incoming calls to the department.
• Process print orders from online queue.
• Prepare written correspondence to clients, vendors, and units.
• Review orders for funding accuracy and enter billing.
• Maintain detailed print records and other required records.
