Job summary

UW Madison's Digital Publishing and Printing Services (DPPS) is seeking a customer service representative to join the team in our digital print facility. In this role, you will use a combination of your print production experience and customer service skills to help serve the UW campus and beyond!

DPPS is one of the largest in-house print production centers within the State of Wisconsin government. This position requires work to be performed in-person, on-site, at 2109 S.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience in customer service.
• Demonstrated professional experience in the printing industry.
• Broad understanding of digital printing and print bindery functions.
• Basic computer and technology knowledge, including Excel and Microsoft platforms.
• Proven capability to organize workload, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates production schedules and tracks print job progress to meet deadlines and ensure completion.
• Serves as an initial point of contact for individuals providing basic information about printing services and addressing needs.
• Answers incoming phone calls to the department.
• Processes print orders from an online queue.
• Prepares related written correspondence to clients, vendors, and units.
• Reviews orders for accurate funding information and enters billing into database.
• Maintains detailed print records on projects and keep other records as required.
