Job summary

MCC is a global leader in premium labels seeking a Press Operator Assistant to support the setup and changeover of printing presses in line with customer specifications. You will assist with ink pans, dies, and quality checks while partnering with a press operator to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience.
• Print shop experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to read a job ticket, ruler, and pass eye and color tests.
• Team player with clear communication and urgency for on-time work.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Attains and maintains all defined job objectives related to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes
• Assists in the performance of all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities
• Assists in the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover
• Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment
• Strips plates from cylinders
• Locates dies to and from the press
• May be required to work with a press operator to view labels with the assistance of a strobe light
• Comply with the quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC
• May be required to complete the quality assurance sheet and associated documentation
• Responsible for the cleanliness of machinery and the organization of the workspace
• Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned
• Related duties as assigned
