Job summary

MCC is seeking a Press Operator Assistant to support printing presses, handling setup and changeover tasks in line with customer specs and MCC standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following QA specifications, maintaining clean machinery and workspace, and assisting with documentation. Prior print shop experience is helpful but not required, and general physical adaptability is important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Print shop experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
• Ability to differentiate colors and pass related tests.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives for planning and execution of jobs.
• Assist in external make-ready operations for label changeovers.
• Assist in post-changeover cleanup activities.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders and locate dies to/from the press.
• May assist the press operator with label viewing using a strobe light.
• Follow quality assurance specifications and document as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and workspace.
• Work overtime as needed and as assigned.
