Job summary

MCC Label in Spring Mill, PA is seeking a Press Operator Assistant to support printing presses and ensure adherence to customer specifications. The role involves setup assistance, changeovers, cleanup, and maintaining equipment according to quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic data entry skills, and a willingness to work overtime as needed. Print shop experience is helpful but not required; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience
• Print shop experience helpful but not required
• Ability to communicate well; team player
• Ability to read a job ticket
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (pass ruler test)
• Correctable to 20/20 (eye test)
• Color vision (pass color test)
• Input data into computer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives related to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes
• Assists in the performance of all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities
• Assists in the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover
• Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment
• Strips plates from cylinders
• Locates dies to and from press
• May be required to view labels with assistance of strobe light
• Comply with quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC
• May be required to complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation
• Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace
• Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned
• Related duties as assigned
