Gordon Flesch Company in Indianapolis seeks a field service technician to install, configure, and train customers on core office technology products, including printers and network-connected devices.

You will troubleshoot onsite and remotely, support third-party applications, and help ensure customer satisfaction through strong communication and problem-solving. The role includes driving to client sites and lifting equipment as needed, with a focus on reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General understanding of Microsoft networking technology.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with various business applications.
• Versed in Windows OS and MAC OS with the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills.
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance as dictated by state requirements.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks as required.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Preferred: Net+ certification or 1–2 years network administration experience.
• Microsoft Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Install and configure core products (printers, network devices) and provide customer training.
• Maintain knowledge of device functionalities, software capabilities, and industry standards.
• Install software drivers on customer servers/workstations.
• Provide end-user and admin training on networking features.
• Troubleshoot remotely using various connection methods.
• Support post-sales issues for escalated network/ connectivity problems.
• Assist in pre- and post-sales activities as needed.
• Gather customer network data for device installations as needed.
• Organize, maintain, and update files, utilities, and software on corporate resources.
• Complete accurate daily activity and mileage logs.
