Job summary

ABC Imaging in San Diego is seeking an on-site Print Shop Manager with extensive printing experience to lead daily operations.

You will oversee staff, coordinate production, liaise with clients, manage deadlines and costs, and ensure equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in a related field.
• Experience with Grand Large Format Printing.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate employees.
• Superior customer service ability and experience in working with customers both over the phone and in person.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processes.
• Expert knowledge of equipment and materials.
• Ability to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clients.
• Highly developed organizational ability.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus.

Responsibilities

• Partners with shop and remote leadership to provide administrative and managerial support for the designated shop.
• Assists Shop Manager in organizing the shop workforce during regular hours or in an extra hours situation.
• Monitors jobs in production and communicates with production and graphics specialists any special instructions, proofs, and shipping info.
• Contacts clients with questions on specifications and/or questions regarding print job submitted.
• Ensures all project deadlines are met and associated cost budgets are adhered to.
• Trains shop staff on proper production procedures and techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is being properly maintained and upgraded. Recommends new acquisitions that will increases productivity.
• Manages inventory and organization of supplies.
• Resolves all customer escalations in a professional manner.
• Fills in for various departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

*Printing Experience and Large Format Printing is Required!*
