Job summary

Canon Business Process Services is seeking a Copy Operator in New York, NY to support high-volume print and copy operations. You will handle requests from multiple sources, run jobs on production equipment, and perform basic maintenance while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Experience with MFDs and fleet management, plus proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel and PowerPoint, is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
• Fleet Management, MFD, SFD device knowledge, logistics, workflow.
• Some knowledge of multi-function print equipment including Canon, Ricoh etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Proficient in PowerPoint or other presentation software.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize and submit print requests from mainframe/mini/server/desktop according to complexity and urgency.
• Deliver print jobs within established timeframes; maintain logs of all work submitted and completed.
• Responsible for minor maintenance of reproduction equipment by solving paper jams and routine cleaning.
• Take meter readings daily; monitor inventory of print supplies and toner.
• Inform clients of estimated completion times and resolve issues to client satisfaction.
• Open/close print center and keep area neat and professional.
• Adjust image quality and manage print-on-demand folders using printer software.
