Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a skilled printing and bindery technician for the 2nd shift in Indiana. You will set up and operate collating, labeling, and patching equipment to produce customer-specific printed materials while ensuring quality and efficiency.

The role requires reading work orders, adjusting machines for stock weight and finish, and performing safety checks during production. Strong attention to detail and adherence to specifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders or specs for collating requirements.
• Knowledge of quality and machining requirements of various paper stocks.
• Skill in setting up machines for finishing operations and adjusting for weight, color, and stock quality.
• Must calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Ability to use tools/devices to adjust and maintain machine accuracy.
• Knowledge of standard and specialized folding, gluing, perforating and cutting of printed materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate collating/labeling machines for customer-specific outputs.
• Review specifications and configure equipment for web/rolls, label affixing, window patching, etc.
• Operate equipment for assembling, perforating, folding, or applying labels to substrates as required.
• Perform safety inspections, document issues, and track production during operation.
