Mural is seeking a Principal, User Research to establish and lead our UX research practice. You will partner with product, design, sales, marketing, and strategy to uncover user needs and opportunities, guiding long‑term innovation.

Qualifications

10+ years of UX Research experience including qualitative and quantitative methods.
Proven track record leading foundational and strategic research that influenced product direction.
Ability to design and execute mixed-methods research independently (ethnography, interviews, surveys).
Experience shaping and scaling research practices in growing organizations.

Responsibilities

Lead foundational and strategic research that informs product direction and long‑term investments.
Partner with product, design, sales, marketing, and strategy to identify opportunity spaces and user needs.
Mentor designers and partners in research best practices to scale a culture of evidence‑based decisions.
Develop artifacts (archetypes, journey maps, mental models) to translate insights into action.
Present insights to executives and cross‑functional teams with strategic recommendations.
