Job summary

Mural is seeking a Principal, UX Researcher to establish and lead a foundational and strategic research program that informs the next generation of user experiences. You will partner across product, design, sales, marketing, and strategy to identify opportunities and guide long-term innovation.

This role is primarily individual-contributor with mentoring responsibilities, aimed at scaling the UXR discipline within a fast-growing startup with the resources of a global platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of UX Research experience, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Proven track record leading foundational and strategic research that influenced product direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead mixed-methods research across product areas to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
• Drive foundational studies on team collaboration, hybrid, and distributed work.
• Design and execute medium to large-scale studies combining depth with rigor (surveys, logs analysis, segmentation, concept testing).
• Build research artifacts (archetypes, frameworks, journey maps) and present insights to executives.
